East Jakarta Vice Mayor Uus Kuswanto handed over two ondel-ondel giant puppets to the East Jakarta Immigration Office on Jalan Raya Bekasi Timur, Jatinegara, on Wednesday (10/9).

These giant puppets will be on display at the room service, thus the visitors can see exactly this Betawi icon

At that time, the East Jakarta Immigration Class I Office Subki Miuldi directly received those ondel-ondel giant puppets.

"It is according to Gubernatorial Regulation number 11/2017 on Betawi Culture Icons," expressed Kuswanto.

Based on that regulation, it regulates about every activity carried out by the government, business people and community members in Jakarta in order to display the Betawi cultural icon as a characteristic of the Betawi people.

He chose the East Jakarta Immigration Class I Office, as this office is one of the gateways for Jakarta and foreign citizens who will go abroad. Thus immigration visitors will always get to know this typical Betawi culture.

East Jakarta Immigration Office Head Subki Miuldi expressed his grateful and gave appreciation to the East Jakarta Vice Mayor.
